selfish
“The only difference between a hero and the villain is that the villain chooses to use that power in a way that is selfish and hurts other people.”
Chadwick Boseman, Actor.
Selfishness is an excessive concern for one's own interests and well-being, often to the detriment of those around you. It is the reluctance to share, perhaps for the fear of being taken advantage of, and the need or desire to maintain control. The root of it may be as a protective shield against vulnerability and hurt. In reality selfish behaviour isolates you from others, stifles your empathy, and prevents you from experiencing the joy of true connection. If you have drawn this card today, spend some time balancing self-care with care for those around you. Lean into your vulnerability. If it indicates someone around you is being selfish - spend some time reflecting or asking yourself and life for the things you so richly deserve.
Selfish Mantra: I balance self-care with care for others.
